Sick Day

DEFINITION OF A "SICK DAY" FOR MY CHILDREN: my kids take a sick day and they stay home and play. They nap, they get breakfast in bed and they don't have to do any school work.

DEFINITION OF A "SICK DAY" FOR MY HUSBAND: Johnny takes a sick day...calls in sick, stays home and lies on the couch all day, maybe does some reading or whatever. (Granted it is no fun to puke 4-5 times in a day)

DEFINITION OF A "SICK DAY" FOR A MOM: Wake up early to tend to children and husband's needs. Wander around trying not to fall over as you do laundry to try to get rid of the puke. Take medicine and wander around again as you tend to MORE needs of four selfish little sicklings and also tend to the new moans and crys on the couch. Struggle through the day with every possible ounce of strength to make it until bedtime when you can finally try to mend your own wounds. (Which never works...because someone always needs help in the potty or a refil of medicine or a back rub or story.)

Why can't I just get the flu when everyone else is well????...That would be the closest I could get to being on vacation!

Back to the whinning..............
